I have a 2003 Blaster. It just spent 2 weeks upside down, under water, in a frozen over creek.

I am pulling the engine to tear it down and thought this would be a good time to change it. Is there an engine with reverse that will fit in the Blaster?

 

could probably fit a warrior engine in it, or an old suzuki lt230s/250s if you want kickstart but i recommend putting a motorcross engine in it so you wont need reverse

 

A lot of kids are putting 80cc dirt bike engines in them and racing them on the tracks......Maybe do that and sell for something differant.....my 2 cents

 

All the engines with reverse are 4 strokes. I think the blaster's frame is just too small to fit a 4 stroke without a lot of cutting and welding. I would guess that maybe one from a 400ex or z400 would work best, but they'll definitely be too tall.

 

Ya the frames to small for a 4 stroke.. But hey u could possible find a cr490 engine LOL 2 stroke Aircooled!! now were talking! or a trx250r engine out of a trike thats aircooled also.. it would look like a regular blaster engine but BAd a$$ well thats just a thought... i think yamaha also made a 500cc or 400cc air cooled engine cant remember the name..
