So I bought a new clutch lever with perch for my raptor 660. After ai installed it, there was a lot of play in the line and the clutch wouldnt even engage, (too lose). I adjusted the thumb screw and it is so far out that it is practically hangin out (this works somewhat), if i adjust it inward, too much slack.

I also went down at the crank case and adjusted the 2 nuts holding the line in place, i pulled the line as far back as I could towards the front of the bike and tightened the nuts. This seemed to work the best, however, the thumb screw is still hanging by a thread (literally) and so is the bottom nut near the crank case.

Is the line possibly streched? It's an 02.

 

What kind of perch and lever did you get? I never heard of anyone having trouble with one before. I don't think it's possible for the cable to stretch, it would be worn out and frayed long before it could stretch a noticable amount.
