Default Need a doctor for my 89 Warrior

So here's the deal. Just reciently my Warrior has started running like crap. I let it warm up for about 5 minutes then take it out on a ride. Bout 5-10 minutes into the ride it starts bogging down and wont rev up at all. If i push down on the throttle it revs to about half of what it should (should being rev limiter). If i ride it further sometimes it stops "bogging down" and runs good and other times it doesnt. I cleaned the carb, checked all grounds, cleaned the air filter...you name it. I even went to the extent to replacing the cdi box. The plug is fine and tuning is fine. One thing i have not done is the voltage regulator...could that have an effect on this. I had a local shop (not one of the best) look at it and he didnt draw any conclusions. This bike has really stumped me. Could anyone help.

What does your exhaust pipe or muffler look like(rusted, etc.)? Just trying to think what it could be. I'm thinking your muffler is breaking down and clogging up. I've seen this before. Try taking muffler loose so you can take it off quickly when bike acts up. It will be loud as hell but should run better. Don't run it wide open or crazy though. Or very long. Or try taking baffle out. I really don't know but I'd try it. I've taken muufflers off and found mud dobbers nest(wasp) inside them stopping them up in the baffles.

The muffler is new. The bike has k&n, jets, and exhaust. Plug is fine. Not sure on the timing or compression. The problem occurs just as the bike warms up and usually persists. I will check with the previous owner on timing. I havent replaced the voltage regulator...could that cause a prob.

I dont know about voltage regulator, but sounds like you may want to check the valve clearance. this has a huge effect on starting and idling when cold and generally goes away after warming up. Just a suggestion.

Does it start to miss fire when it warms up? This could be a sign of a coil or bad stator because as the component warms the coils can become open. I would do an ohm check, cold and hot.
