help troubleshooting 98 warrior.......
I've got a 98 Warrior that won't crank. Friend that I bought it through said he thinks it's the stator. I downloaded a manual and ohmed the leads to the stator. The style of plugs is "Style D (click for pic)". Readings are as follows:
3 pronged plug all white wires : 3 ohms no matter which 3 I tested.
2 pronged red wire and green wire : 270 ohms
2 pronged red wire and white wire : 700 ohms
Are these the correct readings?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Daniel

well, lets try some basics.
whats starts the quad? the battery and the starter. notice we didnt mention 'stator.'
thats like saying your truck wont start and it's the alternator's fault - in fact, that is what youve been told.
is there power in the battery? do the lights work? what do the lights do when you hit the starter button? does the start turn over? does the engine turn over when you pull start it? do you have spark when it turns over?
See there are a lot of questions you need to answer before we can help you. Do these in order and get back to me and I'll help you figure it out OK?
