Default i have a lighting question

okay i have an 87 warrior that is in great shape since i rebuilt the whole thing. it has a quite a bit of performance mods engine wise but the stock stator. now i would like to run some new headlights on it. the orginals suck and are only 25 watts. now i know this is probably dumb to ask but can i run a higher wattage light system without having to rewind the stator? also by the way i am not running any other electrical aftermaket accessories on it to take away any power from the stator.

Check the post dated 2/28/07 by warrioryamaha94 about a lighting question. They say you can run up to a 55 watt with no problems.

Yeah, you can go up to a total of around 110 watts. I'd just be a little more cautious about leaving it idle for long with the lights on, because the stator might not be able to keep up when it's just idling. But I run a pair of 50 watt lights on mine and never had a problem with the battery getting low yet.
