Raptor 350 Suspension Question (2007 SP Edit)
I'm not a fat guy, but I am 6'7" and 275#. I bought my warrior brand new when I was 14, I'm now 24. At that time, I was about 6'3" and 175#. I have since accumulated about 2500+ hours on my quad, as well as the added 100#.
I rode the quad for a long time at the softest setting on the fronts, then I bumped them up to the hardest setting. What an improvement that made!!! I honestly feel that anyone of any weight should have them on the hardest setting. Much improved handling. I didn't discover this till around the time when I weighed about 240# and was a much better rider too. I've never adjusted the rear shock, ever.
Right now, my front shocks are shot, they have miles and miles of riding on them, with a well above average weighted rider. Add to that the fact that they are over 10 years old now (just like everything else on the quad that's finally wearing out) and you can understand why they are shot. I am in desperate need of new front shocks, but seeing how I moved recently and left the quad at my parents house and will probably only ride maybe 3 times this coming summer, I can't justify the new set.
Here is my suggestion, buy the quad, you'll have a ton of fun on it, it will be reliable, but not as fast as the new 400/450's, obviously. If, after spending some time on it, you decide that you don't like them: buy yourself a set of works shocks and be happy.
I also recommend this: if your not planning on racing this thing, I'd hold off as long as you can before buying them, sounds like your on a tight budget, like myself, so replacing new shocks might not be your top priority. I sure am glad now that I didn't blow all the money I wanted to on my quad years ago, it certainly wouldn't be doing me any good right now, and I still had just as much fun then, riding on the stock equipment.

Raptor 350 Suspension Question (2007 SP Edit)
I would not worry one bit about your weight .......
Most of the weight limits are based on tires and max PSI, as well as suspension .......
Check out mcrsuspension.com (Matt Crown Racing) they have custom springs for everything out there up to 350lbs for most every sport quad....
My z400 carries my weight just fine and I probably have you beat by at least 50lbs ........ all I do is add a little extra PSI to the tires (9psi) and set the suspension up to about 3/4 full on all settings ....... I have not changed the springs yet, but I plan on calling MCR this spring and getting a new rear coil. The one they made for my Warrior was only $79 and it worked excellent........

Raptor 350 Suspension Question (2007 SP Edit)
Well i already have one, i set the suspension to one below the tightest setting, and it rides real nice, sags 1 inch with me on it!!! Thats amazing in itself!! It handles great, and i love it. One thing i notice, is if i start out in 1st real slow, its kinda boggy until i hit second, if i punch it and semi fly the clutch it rips, but my neighbors 250ex does the same, is that normal?

There should be no comparison between yours and the 250. The only time it should bog out in first gear is when you stab the throttle really quick.
