more help needed with turbo raptor 660 with edelbrock quick silver carb

ive got the a/f meter hooked up ,but its not much use ..i carnt see which led is lighting up when iam riding
iam running pump unleaded 98 ron,i think
it starts and runs great at idle.but it seems slughish to rev up..when i am riding below boost its surging and stutters
when i give it a fist full and holt it open it will miss and stutter till boost then pull quite well
i tried another needle but weather it was fully adjusted either way it wouldnt rev properly ,a bit like before i put the pilot tube on
it is definatly alot better now though with the pilot tuibe
iam going to look for another turbo as the one on it ,is just one i had laying around for fitting and first runs,,theres quite a bit of movement in its bearing..this will not help the boosting i think
i might have to buy a few more needles to play with..
iam still getting fuel into my pilot tubes ,ive used clear tube so its easy to see..
i think this is because of the fuel preassure rising on boost and over coming the float needle in the carb...but this over fueling will cause poor performance on top end of boost..
i never thought to adjust my pumper ,,ill try that
theres a screw on the side of the float bowl ,its not the drain screw ,,when its out it looks like the air screw but i dont know what this should be set at or which way does what
ive also fitted a air temp gauge to my inlet boost pipe to the carb ,today was a fairly warm day 61 .of my inlet temp when i had been riding was around 111 .of what do u think would be getting to hot

Hello,
The boosting problem with the surging sounds like the .48AR might be on the large side and having trouble spooling up. What size exhaust pipe do you have? I think a .38AR with 2-1/4 exhaust piping would drive the T2 great reducing the lag and coming into boost quicker and cleaner. The worn-out turbo isn't helping things either.
What is fuel pressure at idle? Should be 2psi and increase 1:1 with boost. Have you verified it by watching the gauge? Also, the float level, might want to try raising and lowering to see what effects it may have. Higher will make it deliver fuel quicker while lower will stall the delivery a little. Try playing with the squirter also.
The inlet temp seems fine.
I really wish you had a wideband O2 sensor. Tuning over the net is already hard enough and no way to tell what way it needs to go is not making it any easier. I think you still have some fuel delivery problems but I'd almost be willing to bet that some of the problem now is getting the turbo to spool up. The .48AR isn't excessively large but along with unknown condition, could be a major part of the problem.
What does the spark plugs look like?

Hey there im in process of turboing my raptor i set it up as a pull through type stock carbys got a jet kit, i have a gt15 turbo, i have a fuel pump that will pump 4-6 psi not shore if it is any good was told i shouldnt need a intercooler as i have hand fabed all the exaust and intake pipes my self only thing i have to do is build the inturnals of the engine and the oil lines for the turbo was just going to tap in to the external line up to the top end of the engine but was worryed i would starve the rocker arm of oil ? and was goin to tap into the clutch cover for a drain ?? as i want it to last a while would you recomend a de-comp piston i have been looking around and can buy a 8.5/1 piston . As i live in Australia and every one i ask for advice they look at me like im stupid.
Thank you
Thank you
