Take the chain adjuster off the rear of the cylinder. This has 2-8mm size bolts holding it on. Then take the cam gear off with a 17mm size socket or impact wrench. If you dont have an impact, you may have to hold the 17mm bolt under the stator cover(by the gear shifter) so the engine doesnt turn. Now you can take the sprocket off and tie the chain up. MAKE SURE YOU DONT DROP THE CHAIN DOWN IN THE ENGINE. It will be a nightmare to get out, IF you can get it out.

if you need some spare parts i have a motor, carb and head pipe (ceramic coated) that ill sell pretty cheap, its just taking up space. i know the head has a stage 2 cam, was ported and polished with stage 2 jets in the carb. but it was blown up and i have no idea what went wrong inside i havnt taken it apart.

I've found that you can take the adjust appart. Take spring out and then the chain tenioner will not apply anymore. You'll have to reset it though and pull adjuster out if you don't pull the rest of the cylinder off otherwise you can get at it from the bottom. Pull the cam gear off and make sure and tie the chain up so it doesn't fall into the engine. Other then that you should be good to go.
