warrior trouble!!HELP
#1
i've got a 1995 warrior 350 it just started running bad
i put in a new plug ,oil etc. it runs great for the first 15 min or so then starts running poorly and then just dies.
it will just crank but not start until it cools off then starts and runs fine again . then will start all over again.
take out the plug and its black..running rich? but it should still run even rich, correct?
air filter(K&N) is clear. new fuel filter also. cant figure this out ...leaning more towards a carb problem?????
BIKE IS ALL STOCK EXCEPT TIRES AND FRONT SPROCKET!!

i dont think its a carb problem, if it was it wouldnt run right from the get go. i think its electrical, maybe the stator/pick up coil? im not the best in electrical, but i would be willing to bet its an elecrtical issue. i would check the spark, make sure you have a nice consistent spark when it turns over.

I would say it's an internal engine problem since the heat up/cool down is affecting it. It could either be that the valves are adjusted wrong, or need re-seated, or it could be that it's due for a top end rebuild, so it's losing compression as the cylinder gets hot and expands. That's where I would start looking. Seeing that the bike is a 95 that's still all stock, it's probably been due for a top end rebuild for a while.

I have read in these forums another guy had the same problem and it turned out his stator was bad. Maybe the spark gets weak after the engine heats up.

thanks guys,
i would lean more to the electrical problem if not a carb issue.
if it were due for top end re-build it would probably smoke (it dont) will have to check the stator when it heats up again...
