grizzly power increase free?

I went to atv scene and on there web site they claim they found a way to increase fuel to the motor using the instrument panel. A claim of 16% increase in power. In order to get the info on how to do this you have to watch there video. Does anyone Know how this is done?

Lets think about this for a minute.
Do you think you will get more power out of an engine by giving it more fuel? If it were this simple, why not get the biggest jets you can get and slam them in the carb. Or if it's EFI, just jack the fuel pressure up and go racing?
The only way to make more power is to make the engine flow more air. The only way to do that is with bigger carb, ports, cam, pipe ect. Or with a pump, turbo, supercharger ect. Or chemically, nitrous.
It's hard to get that O2 molecule in the engine. It's easy to get fuel in the engine.
If the engine is a 12.7 to 1 air to fuel ratio, that's all the power your going to get unless you mod the engine to make it flow more air.

yes on the 700 grizz you can use the instrament panel to gain a few hp. Yamaha really leans out the mixture so by richening it up a little bit you gain power. How to do it tho i have no idea.

It is possible to tweek the EFI fuel delivery parameter from the instrument pod on the Grizzly. However there is nothing magic about this. The best you can hope to gain without changing anything else is to find the optimum setting for your riding environment which is based upon a few factors such as atmospheric conditions, temperature, etc. Although you may find a sweet spot by doing some tweeking, the change will likely be minimal at best. In order to enjoy a noticable performance improvement you need to change something else, such as air delivery (different air filter, air intake modification , etc.) and / or exhaust system modification (i.e. a performance exhaust system). ATV Scene had a performance exhaust system installed when they reported their findings and this accounts for the noticable performance gains that they reported after adjusting the fuel delivery parameters.
I experimented with the pod settings myself and after repeated test runs I only noticed a slightly better idle sound and 1 mph top speed improvement over a 400' run (with stock air intake and exhaust system). For the time being I have settled on a parameter value of 15...

How do you enter in to the adjustment of the fuel intake? Is there a secret button sequence? What would be the best add on along with this adjustment? Thanks for the info.

if you watch the video it is all true but what they don't say is that you have to hold the 2 buttons down and hold them before turning the key on and hold it for like about 5 seconds and then the screen will change and follow the rest from the video. i have it written down so i can put the sequence on here if needed. it will help in cold start ups pending on elevation. from what i know if you put more in more needs to go out so exhaust is a good inprovement. but if the adjustment gets to high it will sputter on start up and idle. running mine at +50 right now and am looking for exhaust.
