Default help me choose tires for my wolverine

Hello all, I am new to this forum and ATV's for that matter. I just purchased a 98 wolverine 350 for $1700.00. I bought it because I felt like it was a good deal. it is in really good shape. Although it needs new tires. I will be using this ATM to put my Jetski's in and out of the river.

The terrain I will be loading these in and out is sandy/rocky/muddy/swampy beach. I will also occasionaly have to haul the ski's up a 20 to 30 degree dirt hill that is fairly bumpy.

what would be a good tire for this and should I stick with the stock 23" size or move up to a 25"? one of the ski's is seven hundred pounds so I am worried about putting the 25's and not haveing enough power?

so far I have been looking at the 23" AT489 or the 25" itp mudlite AT.

let me know what you guys think.

Mike

If you want mudlites and to stick with 23" they make a mudlite SP (mudlite sport) my friend has them on his warrior they hook up in the snow and mud good, I'm sure they would be fine in that terrain.

I would stick to the stock sizes. Wolverines are geared fairly tall and you don't want to handicap the quad with oversize tires if you intend to work it. Another good choice would be AMS Swamp Foxes, they are available in the stock 23x8-12 and 23x10-12 sizes and have a tread pattern that would serve your needs well. You can see them Here.

i believe that the stock tires on the new wolverine are the same size, they are maxxis lynx radials, they hook up real well and are great for all around riding, even most mud. if your looking for something more suited for mud i would go with the ams swamp foxes, that are the same size. just my 2 cents

Another great tire i woud recomend would be the Kenda bear Klaws. I have a set on my warrior and they are amazing the hook up great in everything. u wont be disapointed. For tires and any other atv or motorcycle parts i buy a lot of stuff or rockymountainatv.com. They have great selections and prices on everything.
good luck.

I've always gotten my best deal on tires from e-bay. No one has come close to matching the prices of the dealers on e-bay when I was shopping for tires. I've bought my last 2 sets of BearClaws on e-bay.

Either Bearclaws or Dirtdevils.
I have the claws and a buddy has the devils and they both grip very good.
