anybody know what mods would make my quad run like a raped ape?
2002 kodiak 400 no mods done to the engine yet

 

not sure about the raped ape, but a pipe/air filter and jet kit will help things, a clutch kit will help you accelerate faster but you may lose some top end. Maybe someone else can help you more

Yes, they are very nice. Alot better then stock, only complaint I have is they do like to dig, so if you manage to get stuck, you get really stuck.

air filter, pipe, contact www.fourstroketech.com for a stroker/big bore kit. instead of jetting your current carb, buy a Mikuni TM33-8012. It was just released. It is a flat-side carb (faster throttle response), and it is specially made for a four-stroke engine. It also comes with an accel fuel pump.

i just won a k&n for 1 buck on ebay but shipping was 15 so i got my filter now i got to get the bore kit and the pipe


thinkin about a camshaft any pointers?
