did you check and adjust the valves on the new motor? When it stops running you need to determine if its getting fuel and spark. Have a spare plug with you and when it stops you can pull the plug boot and put the spare plug in and see if there is spark. If there is spark then you need to see if it is getting fuel. could be a plugged fuel filter.
