What do you think about the Kodiak?
#12
I am 6'2" @ 250 lbs. and weight train. I find it to be comfortable on all day rides.
My front & rear brake pads have over 100 hours and still have more than 50%.
The front shock lower mounts will squeak like hell after a while. Just back off on the nut, no more than a Flat and it will be gone forever.
The front end is a limited slip and will send power to the wheel with less traction in some cases. I have seen some of Honda's newer so called "SMART" front ends do the same. With several years of riding I have learned how to live with this and get the best from it. Once you know your machine you will too.
I have nosed the Kodiak up against a tree on some firm top soil and gassed it. All four spun even when I turned the wheels to and fro. On mine it takes a severe condition to spin the one in the air. Some are looser than others. Polaris has a good idea but not a reliable one. I have personally seen the consistent breaking down of these machines. I'm sure they will improve with time.
The new Kawasaki 650's front end will be very interesting to check out. It may be my second machine. I'll have to wait for the reviews.
I Love My Kodiak.
