Banshee VS 125-250
#1
Today (after a long month of not being able to ride!) me and 2 of my friends went out riding for bout an hour or so at a field near our houses in a residential area. The police are pretty nice about it and as long as we have proper riding gear they dont care.
Well, im on my Banshee (stock) and my friends are on Kawasaki 125 and a Yamaha 250 (dirtbikes). The field is about a total of 200yards lenght and maybe 400 in width. We started out just riding around and warming up the machines then Matt decides to have a couple of races between us, well aight, lets go!.
We line up near the parking lot where the grass starts and ride a lenght of 200 yards to a tree then turn around and haul it back, first to blacktop wins. The 250 demolishes us, I end up in second and 125 in last. We do this about 6 or so times and only once did I take 1st and a 3rd one time as well, coming around corner I was in nuetral and went to hit it, VRRRROOOOOOM! lol crapppp!
We then decide to do longer runs, we run the length of the field then the width, then back to length, bakc to width, then half lenght to black top, basically its sraight 200, left hard turn, straight 400, hard left turn, straight 200, hard left, straight 400, hard right, then haul it to the blacktop which is only bout 50 yards.
Im was amazed at how well I did. Matt in my book is a great rider, sick air and very fast, Mickey is good, he's got some huevos but just started back in January like me. On the first run, I took the win, second run I end up in 2nd, same with 3rd run and on 4th run Matt decided to change the way we go up a bit and I ended up in 3rd.
Overall it was a blast for only an hours worth of a ride, lol, we even played a game of "Trap", dont ask 2vs1 "keyword" TRAP.
Im just amazed at how well the banshee holds up to dirtbikes as well, Im thinking I was just better on corners which gave me a slight advantage in some of the wins.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Last summer I drag raced a 97 KX 125 with procircuit pipe and silencer, boyesen reeds, and that should be all. I had at the time a k&n filter and DG silencers.
At the time I was running my 18inch tires. We raced on pavement, at a lengh of about 200yards. I could take him off the line and up to 6th gear by about 25 or 30 yards then once I was topped out he came ripping by and passed me out. It is because my gearing was low, with 18inch tires. Now I have 20inch tires and would love to race, but he doesn't own it anymore. Never raced a 250 but I bet they would take me easily, but not by alot.

I raced with a 400 YZF...that bike looks sweet from behind...I had tons of time to admire the rear wheel!!!!
It was a...very very long (3-4 miles...don't really know...really long) straight hard pack dirt road (road riding is no good, I know :P).
He flew away on the start, and I catched him only because he let off the throttle to wait for me. In top speed, he wasn't much faster than me...5mph faster...not more (I think his bike had/has something wrong though).

I was riding at little sahara in oklahoma and there was a guy on a 250 who was practically smoking everyone. I ride a 00 banshee with toomeys and a cool head and the only thing i saw of him was his roost of sand right before it blasted me in the face. i have raced a rm 125 with a fmf fatty and he pulled me throught the midrange but i was catching up to him on the top end. THis was when my fourwheeler was stock and it took place on a runway. Yup well i just wanted to share my experiences with everyone.

i have a YZ 250 and banshee's can't even touch me. maybe off the line but after that, bye bye. I also have a racing clutch and flywhel, high perf. reeds, breather kit, racing piston, pipe and silencer, some other stuff,i can't remember it all. I can wheelie in all 5 gears and will do 100+mph (when i can even get up there) its freeky going 80-90 on a bike on hard pack/road, but i havn't ever met something that can touch me, when it comes to quads and bikes, bikes can put more power to the wheel, and are lighter. just my 2 cents

I have seen a Banshee with a dyno-port 2into1 pipe and I don't know what else, and a CR500 not stock, they were kind of racing. They were fulling around on the road and would go along side each other and fly through the gears up the road, I was surprised the Banshee actually could stay somewhat with the 500. The guy on the CR500 was doing these massive burnouts up the road. He would do a brakestand and get the tire smoking heavily and go up to 4th or 5th gear and then slowly let off the brake and go about 30yards up the road leaving darker lines than cars. The guy on the banshee was also riding long wheelies it was sweet.

I have a friend with a 2000 Banshee, it has FmF all the way around, and 230jets in the carbs, and K&N.It absolutely rips!!!Hes raced a camaro for about a quarter of a mile on the road, and he had the camaro all the way. Then he raced a Kawasaki Tecate-4 wich has Boysen Racing reeds, DG all the way around, DG clutches, bored .30 over, and the Tecate had him till 3rd, and then the Banshee just pulled away.
