06' Wolverine stuck in 4x4!?
#1
Anybody have any ideas as to what would cause my quad to stick in 4x4? I was thinking maybe there is a short somewhere cause it is push button, but is there something else that could cause this? I am not mechincally inclined with these things at all.

Turn the ignition but don't start it. Now push the 4x4 button and let us know if the motor on the front diff is making the sound of switching into and out of gear. If it's not working check electrical wise items like the fuse, electrical wiring, or the switch first. If you can hear it changing modes then something inside the motor or the front diff might be bad.
Let us know what ya find.

the first 06 i had wouldn't go into 4x4 for awhile. i'm assuming it's the same thing just in reverse. but anyways it was still under warranty so i took it in. and it was something to do with the motor that engages the 4x4. you need to watch those kind of things if you go through alot of water. and if you've been riding in water alot don't forget to drain the V-belt case...
