i got an engine out of a 2003 blaster for my 1996 blaster. the old engine has 4 wires coming off of it,but the new one has 5 wires. does anyone know what the 5th wire is for, and how do i make it work with the wiring on my old bike? please help.

 

Are all of the wires comming off the stator?

What color wires do you have on each end?

 

yes all of the wires are from the stator. i will check to see what colors they are. do you think i should just swap the stators out?

 

may have something to do with the ignition. swapping the stators would prolly be a safe way of getting by. or just call up a dealer and see if they can look at the wiring diagrams for ya
