Default clutch kit questions

I'm new to ATV's so forgive my ignorance, but what do clutch kits do? I'm thinking they are for improving acceleration but is it alot of improvement? What are some pros and cons.? I have an 07 Wolverine 450 and would like a better take off and I'm willing to sacrifice some top end. How difficult is the install keeping in mind that I can work on a car, rebuild engines, etc. but haven't done any internal tranny rebuilds. Also will the dealership be able to tell I have it and void my warranty?

Default clutch kit questions

he's rite but in short. yes big diff. in lowend and take off. little top end loss maybe at most 5mph. but trust me it's worth it!! as for putting on in you can save money by just taken in the part on your wolf that has the waits/springs in it and just let the guys at the shop put the new ons in it for you. it should only take them 20 mins. at most. then you can put it back on yourself. but make sure not to shake it tomuch from the time you get it from them to the time you put it back on cause you don't want the waits to mess up. ( reson for taken it to the dealer is cause they have a tool to let the spring out with out hurting yourself!) hope this helps!
