Shifting problem......please help!
#1
I have recently purchased a 2001 yamaha blaster and when i start riding in first gear it will slip back into neutral. If i get riding long enough to shift into 2nd gear it will slip into first then neutral or it won't shift into second at all anybody have any ideas on what the problem might be?? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Im not sure if blaster have them but its called a detent spring, its what causes the shift arm to move back to neutral alignment when theres no pressure on it. Sounds like you need to drop the motor and split the cases. If there wasnt much oil in it you might be looking at a new trans. Godd used on will run 80-100 bucks online.
I take that back. You can get a whole new blaster motor for 100 bucks.
Go to this website.

Select year of quad
Go to blaster
Click shift cam with fork
I think part 3 might be your problem.
