if your not gonna be doing much of any type of racing you might want to get something with reverse like a raptor, i have one and i love it. i say this because reverse is nice and you really wish you have it when you could use it.

YFZ 450's, while not the best trail bikes, they do OK in the woods. I ride with a few people that have them, and they like them. The seat is a little stiff for my taste on longer rides. There are better trail bikes out there, such as the Raptor 700, or if you dont mind something slower like the 400EX. Reverse is nice to have on occasion.

The new Kaw 450 has reverse. Either of the 3 big named 450 will do you nicely on the trails in woods. Even better than some big ute. Your able to manuver a sport quad on trails with no problem due to it's power and weight. There fun to ride on trails.

It depends alot on the trails them self.

It performs real well on more open type trails that you can run at a good speed. On this trails the only real difference I notice between the 450 and the 700 is the 700 will usually be a gear higher because of where they make there power.

Slow more technical stuff is where they are going to require alot more clutch work. Where the 700 or other trail quad will lug down better and the torque will really start to show.

While reverse is a nice thing to have it seems the times you really need reverse, it just spins the tires anyway lol

Take one for a ride and see how you like it. The 450 just have to harsh of a ride for me where I ride but this is just personal preference.
