Default 2007 Raptor 700 engine light issues

This is my second post,
sorry for the rude introduction on my first post, I was a little aggrivated.

I am a proud owner of a raptor 700, love the quad, but its got way too much high tech gadgets, I need help at a possible trouble shoot for the reason the engine light is on, my buddies is also on, I own the service manual, I checked the troubleshooting section, still no help, I can only guess. I wiggled around a few connections and cleaned almost everything till it looked new again, it was in the shop once already, the throttle sensor went, not such a big deal, but I was ten miles out when this happened. So that stunk. And so now does this. What should I do? I know I should just bring it back in, but maybe its something simple, that would save me a very large head ache of getting it to the dealer. I need help.....

Default 2007 Raptor 700 engine light issues

Hello,
I'm new to this site and my dad is having his engine re-built for the 2nd time in one year oh his 700R. The 1st time the head cracked (manufacturing problem) and now something broke off near the piston and it's all messed up. Has anyone else had any engine problems with their 700R? He's about ready to return the thing and get something else. Any imput would be great!

Have you messed with the speed sensor?

Even if you havent try the connection on it. It has been known to trip the engine light.

Is it running ok?

Welcome to the site.

Just some freindly advise. It is best to start your own topic vs taking over someone elses.

For you question I have not heard of any engine issues with the 700. It is always possible to get a lemon but the 700 motor has been very solid.

I messed with it a little yesterday, heres exactly what its doing: I turn the key flip the switch the efi runs then I start it, no problem, I let it warm up for about 8-10min, every thing is fine, put it in first and go, then it stalls out and the engine light is blinking, I turn the key off and it starts again, with the light off, then the same thing over again.
