Default What is a JETKIT?

I am wondering what a jetkit is. I know its basically a hopup that increases power, but i don know specifically how it does this. For example, does it inject more gas into the engine or something? Thanks for your help.. just some info i just got a blaster a couple days ago and im starting to get into atv's.

a jetkit allows more fuel to be used. it is used mostly when you put a exhaust on your quad.

what does an exhaust do to require more gas to be pushed into the engine?

It allows the air to escape the engine with less resistance allowing you to put in more air which requires more fuel. A jet kit is just a few different size jets that are put in the carb untill you get the right set up. If you know what you are doing you can save alot of money by just going to the local shop and getting the jets you need. Average jet kit costs 50. average jet 3 bucks. And if you have a reasonable local shop they will let you trade jets if you bought the wrong size

hit it on the nose. theres no point in getting a jet kit either because it doesnt increase power, it just makes it so you can use any kind of engine mods so you can gain power.
