Rear Master Cylinder Cover for Kodiak/Grizzly 450's
#1
Hey All,
This question is for all the Kodiak 450 / Grizzly 450 owners:
Last weekend when I went riding my foot brake lever went all the way down to the floor board and did not Brake nor did it allow me to put it in reverse.. turns out the problem was that I lost the top bolt that holds the Rear master cylinder bracket to the frame. Unfortunately I mucked up the threads for that bolt as it was probably loose for awhile... I wound up fixing it with a longer 6mm nut and bolt.. I also took out as many bolts as I could get to easily and put low strength Loctite #222 on the bolts... Ok so problem fixed...
So I was on Yamaha's ( and it is on Bike Bandit too) parts website and noticed the following guard (Item #32) in the diagram. It is obvious that my Quad never had it as bolt (Item #33) is not present.
Since I don't know how to add pictures in the post it is in my Gallery.. Check it out and let me know, I am calling my dealer this morning... ask them why it was never installed... Hmmmm Bike bandit sells it for only $6 but still.. it is a matter of principal!
