Default fuel mix ratio on a banshee

Just wondering what you guys with banshees run for mix ratio. I have a Clymer manual and it says to run 24:1. I think that I got a little too much oil in last time because it's smoking quite a bit.

Is amsoil just a non-detergent oil or is it a 2 cycle oil?

Does he run 40:1 with synthetic or conventional? I really don't ride enough to have seasons. Is there a sure way to tell when your top end is getting worn out, Like excessive smoke and loss of power?

if you wanted to be sure you could check your compression with a compression guage.

i think he uses conventinal. i use synthetic myself. and you will be able to tell big time if it is blown the power will be way down when you goose it.back in the day when i had my lt250r i used to run 32:1. if you run it at this level your pretty much not going to burn though top ends.
