Default Raptor wont go

Take off your chain, and turn the sprocket by hand. When shifting between gears while turning the sprocket, you should feel the engagement of the dogs. If you dont 'feel' the gears engaging, you might have a broken output shaft.

If you do feel them engaging, then try turning the sprocket by hand while pulling on and then letting go of the clutch lever. See if you feel any change in the force required to turn the sprocket (make sure you are in gear). If you feel a difference but there is still little force required to turn the sprocket, the clutch is either worn out or somehow being held in the disengaged position OR something else serious is going on in the tranny.

Make sure that the clutch release arm (lower right hand side of engine) is moving properly when you pull and release the clutch lever.

Good Luck!

I don't think that's the problem, just something that needs to be proven.

Yuo need to remove the clutch cover and see if the problem is there, if it is not there, then the next thing is to open your transmission. this means the hole engine neds to be pull apart.

If you are getting some resistance, then that may be a good indication that your transmission is good. good luck.*

Im pretty sure you blew your clutch same things happened to me and two of my friends (1 raptor and 1 yfz). I replaced mine about a year ago with tusk brand plates and have had no problems to date. I didint see the need to bye an exspensive hinson clutch for the type of ridding I do.

It's sounding more like clutch. I certainly hope that's it!

Good luck!

thanks for the help, it turns out it was the clutch... the fiber plates looked like they had been set on fire
