carb problem

Default carb problem

ok i got the not runing part fixed i need to know why now it runs good but when runing it gets to a certain point and starts to get real jerky rpm will pick up and drop pick back up and drop how can i fix this or adjust it so that it runs better [img]i/expressions/beer.gif[/img] this is a 86' yfm200dxs with a mikuni carb

did u clean the carbs?

yea i cleaned it very well with carb cleaner and blow out the jets to insure there was no dirt or junk in the carb before it wouldnt even run when i hit the gas im wondering if i have the settings way out im needing to get it running right for this weekend

its probably a jetting issue, put a new plug in it and ride it around normally for a little while, then pull the plug. if its black and nasty looking, its rich. if its white and dry looking (hot) then your lean. hope this helps.
