wolverine horsepower

Your bike is a 2-stroke, and they will always have more power. The 400cc 2-stroke srambler runs right with the 500cc 4-stroke scrambler. But either way your right wolverines are low powered. Thats why I'm selling mine and getting a 500 scrambler. If I bore & stroke mine to a 500cc with the kit from Four Stroke Tech it still would not have as much hp and wouldn't out run the scrambler. Plus the scambler runs up there with the big boys like 400EX, 250R. And with a little work 660R, and DS650. And hard to touch with the supercharger kits for the 500 Polaris'.

I won't try and argue that a Wolverine is as fast as a Scrambler, but it is ALOT more reliable. Even brand new you just never know what's going to break. It would be fun to tune the clutch, and if you get the two stroke you'll really be able to make it sing, but be prepared to spend lots of time taking it to the dealer for repairs, and make sure you find a good dealer that will stand behind what he sells.

The guy I ride with has a 00' 500 scrambler, and I burned up my engine in my 00' wolverine tring to keep up with him. So now mine is broke down, and to this day he hasn't had one problem. He has changed the clutch and the rear gear, and now has 22" swampers all the way around and goes every were I can go but faster. I had a 95' polaris 400 and hated it because it was always broke down, and thats why I did't buy a scrambler but since his has done so good I'm thinking of selling mine.
