It won't hurt for you to take them out if you know what your doing.

I know what you mean, I'd been working on my Warrior ,that had the same starting issues as sanders,. I quit working on it and started riding my Honda to cool off, and when i went to stop my brake cable broke and i ran into the side of my Warrior.(hit the tires) An hour later I went to work on my warrior and it fired right up.
