I have a 99 warrior and i jump about that high or higher. I have my on the softest setting works great in the woods for me, but jumping they bottom out. I only weigh 135 pounds and the shocks are set for my weight so adjust them for your weight.

well i have a 93 Warrior and I just tightenend up the suspention all the way. I do just about the same type of riding and i cant really tell if its too tight.there not hard to adjust but for the winter I Would leave the suspention on the 2nd lowest setting. Thats the way i had mine set for a year and then i started jumping higher and bottom it out more. so if you bottom out, crank it up but if not, leave it on one of the lowest settings for the more comfortable ride. I weigh 145 and on the highest setting, i hit 5in bumps and it leaves the ground. (little too tight.)
Hope that helps!

on the back of my warrior it doesn't have any settings. it just has it to where you turn it up or down.Aftermarket shocks will they help or is it a waist of money.

Yes. tighten the screw for a harder setting or losen the screw for a softer setting. I'm sure aftermarket shocks are great for people w/ lots of $$$$$ or get in to racing big where you bottom out w/ your shocks on the hardest setting

On the back shock, you stiffen the spring by turning the big nut at the top of it. loosen the lock nut first, then turn the nut down or up to change the spring preload to soft or hard, then tighten the spring back down.

i also have a 96 warrior, i have never touched the back shock, put the fronts are on the third setting. i am 6'6" tall and weigh 250 lbs., i beat the crap out of the thing. i mostly ride in the woods and on mx tracks. i clear a 70 ft. tabletop at my friends and the shocks work fine
