Is there anything wrong with taking the Baffle out of a stock pipe? I don't know a whole lot about fourwheelers..I took it out of my YFZ to make it sounds louder since I can't get a racing pip for acouple months and was wondering if there was anything wrong w taking it out

 

my friend took his out and has no problems. actually made it run a lil better.

you didnt remove the baffle what you took out is the spark arrester, the baffle is welded in the center of the pipe. you should be fine tho.

 

the rumor you heard was kind of true if you change stuff like your pipe muffler and filters because the air and exaust flow are so diffrent youmay need to adjust the jetting on your carb. but just taking out the spark arrestor or a bafffle woulnt make a big enugh diffrence for you to need to mess with the carb.
