How do I loosen the clutch on a 1997 Yamaha Blaster?
#1
Hi there. I have another question about my 1997 Blaster. Is there any way to make the clutch a little easier to pull in?
Is there adjustments or anything I can buy or any way at all to loosen it up a bit?
To be honest, I wouldn't mind having it a little more loose and easier to pull in myself but I have a couple nephews age 10 and 14 that I am teaching how to drive it and it is just a little to hard for them to pull it in and release it for prolonged periods.
It isn't supertight where it is unusual or completely hard to drive but I sure wouldn't mind if it was a little bit easier to pull in.
Thanks again for replies and all the help.

The only thing you can do is buy a new $8 clutch cable and explore with different types of clutch levers. I replace all my clutch levers with CR/XR style ones when it comes time. Just make sure you replace the lever and the perch, since the CR lever won't work on the yamaha perch.
