Crate Speed of a blaster?
#1
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's 66. I just want to be sure, and while your at it, if anyone could at least try and tell me how fast I could go with my mods, go ahead and tell me. Thanks for any replies.

I thought a stock Blaster would run in the 55-58 mph range. To figure out your speed, we need to know what size sprockets are you running and what size rear tires do you have?

So what if you have done 10-12 mods, if your gearing is the same and it doesnt look like you have a CDI box so your not going to turn any more RPMs so you are not going to go any faster than a stock blaster, You will get to that top end speed alot faster, Another thing hurting you is the 18" rear tires, switching to 20" rear tires will net you a little more top end speed at the expense of acceleration. Sorry

then why do we have freakin mods lol!? Are you trying to say that modding your engine does absolutely no performance gain stuff? And anyway I was gonna look into a 14t front sprocket. Change my gearing for the 18" tire loss. I've already heard I get better acceleration and the gearing will help a lil.

You mainly do mods for that arm-stretching, hold-on-for-dear-life power that gives that addrenaline rush we love so much. It's not all about top end speed. Engine mods do help in acceleration and bumps up top speed. Everytime you do an engine mod does not mean you automatically gain top end speed. Top end speed is based mainly on engine RPM and gear ratio. You can only get but so many RPMs out of your Blaster engine. Those 18" tires hurt your topend, and the 14T sprocket will help your topend speed. BUT, the 18" tires helped your acceleration and the 14T sprocket will hurt your acceleration. You don't want a bike that will do 100mph but takes 20 minutes to reach that speed. Its more wise (and more fun) to have a bike that will go 65mph and only takes 5 seconds to get there.
