so... if you saw my other posting, the old girl would only shift up.... not down. comming around the corner it would have been great to have actualy had brakes when the problem occured.

after picking myself out of the rhubarb, I thought it might be good to fix the brakes.

any suggestions?

I see new hydraulic ones on ebay - seem to be complete for 2000 models for a reasonable price.

anyone out there had experience putting a retrofit or other braking mechanism (other than Nike's) on a blaster?
