Default 660 Raptor Clutch

I replaced the clutch in my 660 raptor after I burned out the first one at Glamis. I think it was adjusted to tight (No Slack).
The new clutch grabs when cold. It will not fully engaged. The bike moves when the clutch is pulled all the way in.
This just happens for a few seconds, then it is all right.
Any suggestions???

Speedy, sounds like you know a lot about clutches. Here is my question. When I pull the clutch lever in and go to release it to move forward, the clutch won't engage until the clutch lever is almost fully released. Shoudn't the clutch engage about half way in the pull action?

You could adjust it at the clutch lever or at the other end of the clutch cable leading into your clutch, if that dont work take your clutch case off and make sure your clutch rod is facing straight on with the clutch,(did you put your clutch plates in the proper way)?

Yes I think it is on right. It worked for a while. I took it to Glamis and was very careful to m,ake sure I had some slack in the cable. Maybe it takes a clutch every time I go to Glamis and ride the dunes? After I got home from Glamis It takes a few minutes to get it to work. It jumps when you put it in gear with the clutch pulled in. After a few minutes it will start to work properly for the rest of the day.

But next time out the same problem.

Thanks
Larry

It sounds like your clutch cable is stretched or no good!

i'd try adjusting the screw ON the clutch cable by the perch so it engages sooner.
