Anyone know if both versions have the spark arrester? Is the performance identical? Thanks!

I believe they both have arrester and the performance is the same except for looks and price.

I wouldn't recommend the Carbon Fiber pipe for two reasons.
1. If you don't repack them religously it will melt the shell. Many years of streetbike expierence behind that. After putting one on my 900RR I will never get another one.
2. More expensive than aluminum.

I just put the aluminum on mine last night. Ive only ridden it once down the alley, but it seems much faster. It sounds great but it is MUCH LOUDER!

I have not actually weighed the Carbon and the aluminum silencer but they are very close in weight. Picking them both up; It feels like the aluminum is lighter. Both are identical except for the shell.

I wheeled mine out in the driveway to let it warm up, (I am unable to drive it because I am waiting for A-Arms to arrive and my spindles have already been reamed so the stock Arms will not fit.). I could hear the exhaust for blocks. It is ear-piercing loud. I must say it is much louder than the Big Gun.

Next week, when my Arms arrive, I will be able to tell what kind of an increase I have. But I also have the Big Gun pipe.

Blue Raptor

Spark's Advance Key (Still Waiting)
LSR Block-off
Removed: Heel Guards, lights, Parking Brake, plastic skids, front fenders
