Default Yamaha or Can Am ???

I have been leaning towards buying a 2008 650 OutlanderXT. Now my buddies are suggesting that the 700 Grizzly is the way to go. I am getting so confused. Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

Well, you are in the Yamaha section of the forums, so you know what most of the responses will be here. Get what YOU want, not what everybody else wants you to get. They don't care what you do with your money. I personally would go with the Grizzly because they have been around for a while, they are easier to find parts for, and I have a good Yamaha dealer about 1/2 mile from my house.

Thanks for the comments. I posted this question in both Can Am and Yamaha forums to get both sides. I expected a slant towards one or the other depending on the forum but I thought it may bring out some negatives too. Again thanks for your input.

Why are you deciding between the Grizzly 700 and the Can-am 650? Why not between the biggest ute Yamaha has and the biggest ute Can-am has? (800) As I see it the Grizzly has the advantage when it comes to reliability, handling, and aftermarket support. Can-am has the advantage when it comes to power. So if power is on Can-am's side of the court, why not call in the heavy hitter? If power is what sways you toward the Can-am then take a big swing with that bat, and go for the 800.
