warrior blows oil out exhaust
I'm with speedy on this one and Raptor450 is pointing out that the valve seal's can cause some smoking also , but in nearly all case's it will stop smoking after it burn's the oil that has seeped past the valve seal's and into the cylinder burn's off the oil it stop's smoking ; it's rare that the seal's wear out or blow's them with out ssome smoking when you first start an engine with bad valve seal's with out oil smoke as awaning sign first ; just the valve seal's alone ; when they start going bad in most all case's with this smoke warning first ! But the ring's are another thing all together different you can have broken or sticking ring and that would cause the the smoking and oil blowing oil like you're talking about ! but here's a inexpensive alteritive you might try before you spend a lot of money ; try useing some SEA FOAM in the fuel gas tank and crankcase oil ! There are instructions for using this product ! So follow the directions on the can and it come's a 12 oz. and 16 oz. can we can find in North Ga. usa it cleans out the entire fuel system and also cleans the combustion chamber of built up carbon deposits that can gum up the valves and cause the rings to stick ! If this doesn't do the job you'll have to take it to a machine shop to have the cylinder and valve train checked out , but it's worth a shot ;i've seen engines that were smoking bad and they were leaking a small amount oil in the exhaust they had so much carbon build up that it caused almost the same thing as you are having ! You can find the Sea Foam at most auto parts stores like auto zone Advance auto parts and O'Reillys Auto Parts Stores , I get mine at O'Reillys Auto Parts Storesi for $5,99 + tax and i got good ressult's with it ; and If this dozen't work you can take it to a miachine shop and have a good technition check it out for you , it can be impossible to to tell if the cylinder is out round to much with the naked eye for it's critical that the piston and ring's to have a good enough seal through the complete stroke of the piston to cylinder wall and best of all is it has a GUARANTEE Sea Foam is sold on a basis of : " Your Moneys Worth Or Your Money Back " !.............I've reditied this reply because after reading it i can see where someone could get the wrong idea that i'm trying to tell people that sea foam will rebuild a worn out engine or mend broken part's , just because i've had such great result's using this product ; the only claim i make about sea foam is that it has such a long range of ingrediant's that it will do the job of so many product's combined that it can save you money by buying the one product instead of paying for as many as four or five to get the same result's from the one ! And as high as gasoline price's are today everyone can use all the saving's as they can get , unless they are lucky enough to win the lottery ; and i know people who are millionaire's who can't sleep at night because the stock market took a plung and they're losing sleep because they had to spend a dollar instead of make a dollar; so when you read a reply to a post that i left please keep in mind even if i;m right or wrong i'm only trying to help ! .............................

warrior blows oil out exhaust
soillwarrior350 What did the old piston and rings look like when you removed them , was the piston scuffed , and was the cylinder wall scrarred with any groove's and were the ring's broken ? In any case you should've taken it to a good machine shop and had them do a meaurement of the cyclinder wall to see how far out of round it was to determine how far it would need to be bored ; so you would know what size piston and ring's you would need to go with ! Sometimes it's cheaper to either get a new jug or have it bore and sheeved so you can go back to the original piston size , because everytime you have to bore the cylinder over to a larger size the weaker the cylinder wall get's ; and you lose reliability the larger size you go ! This was the case in a late 80's model Yamaha 250r SE Eduro 2 stroke engine on the bike that one of my cousin's had , he also had the same thing you did when he had lost compression his smoked more than usual and the compression was to weak to pull anything but flat ground any hill of any size forget it ; he desided to hone the cylinder and install a new piston and ring set on his bike ! Unlike your quad it was only smoking bad but it wasn't blowing oil out the exhaust , his Yamaha ran long enough after the rebiuld for one ride where he crashed the bike breaking two ribs and his collar bone the damage to the bike was minimnal one crack in the front fender and one bent clutch lever ; he taked me into selling it for him ! He told me i could have half the profit for selling it for him and his garrantee that the bike was in good shape and it was a Special Edition model and that the frame alone was worth over $350.00 whitch he said he wouldn't take one penney less for it ; and it would hold up a long time as long as the buyer used only BellrRay Racing oil mixed to the proper gas to oil ratio of ( 24: to 1) ! And he told me to tell anyone who bought it not to pour oil in the oil tank because it wasn't mixing the gas to oil ratio right for the engine , and that he had diconnected it for that reason only ! I took his word for it and sold it for $350.00 to another cousin for her son who she was buying it for , she bought it and her son rode it 2 time's he had to push it off to start it ; the reason for the push start it was what the cousin i was selling it for said it had to much compression to kick start it and that when it was broken in they would be able to kick start it then ! Well after his 3rd atempt to ride it they pushed and even tried to pull it with a four wheeler and his mom's car , only starting and running on level pavement it wouldn't pull up the small hill of their driveway and that was it ! My cousin called me and she me told all about the trouble they went through trying to get it to run , i told her not to worry that we would fix it or i would give her money back ; i went to her house and they tryed to start it to show me what it was doing i checked the kick starter with my hand and tried to push on it with my hand ! The first try i couldn;t get the kick to buge an inch so i thought the compression was good , then i had my nefew to try kicking it and on the first kick it started and he rode down the hill tured around and made it half way up the hill and it stalled on him ; and he had to push it up the hill to the house ! I did a compression test on it right there when it was cold i got a reading of 105 ft lbs PSI and it wounld leak down fast ; i put a tsp of oil in plug hole and checked it again i got 110 ft lbs PSI this time and it took just tad bit slower on leak down but still to fast for this engine to have ! So i took it home removed the head and before i removed jug/cylinder i got my gauge and i checked the piston ring end gap it was out of spec.'s and the piston ring side clearance was off spec.'s also and even though there wasn't any sign of piston scuffing and no scarring or groove's in the cylinder wall , i could see that the cylinder was out of round just by these No.'s i removed the jug and took it to my future AC Dealer ( She only sold mountain bikes and KMT or KTM not sure because she was still Racing in the Bush Series at the time and this was only a hobbie to her then and there were always young moto cross racer's there asking her advice on set up for their bike
s ! And she was still running her machine shop at her home " Kirk Racing " " and machine shop " at the time , i took the jug , piston and ring's there so she could check them out ; she took the meaurement's and told me it was to far out of round to bore it enough without the cylinder wall being to weak to hold up ; and that the cylinder wall was to thin to bore and sleave ! So i called the cousin who i sold it for and he said he wasn't going to refund his part of the money , he told me that my nefew didn't use the Belray oil or he didnn't get the mix right ; and even after i told him i had personally bought the oil and mixed it like he told me to his reply was the same ! He had already spent his part of the money i knew that was the reason he wouldn't refund his part so i didn't get mad at him , beside's he had done so much for me and my mom while he lived next door to me on my grandmother's land that she left me in her will ; he did alot clearning the lot off and put in a new sewer system and helping out my mother mowing the grass and cutting her firewood in the winter that i didn't charge him lot rent for all he did us ! And after his mother passed away his mom left him everything even though she had remarried a few year's before she died she left him a new double wide mobile home with 40 acre's of land , and when he moved he sold me the 12x60 mobile home on credit for $1,500.00 at $50.00 dollars a month ; and after i had payed him $500.00 by the next Christmas he sent me a card in the mail with the title to the mobile home signed by both he and his ex -wife and on the card they wrote Merry Christmas and a happy new year ! So i ended up refunding the money to my cousin and bringing it home where it sit for almost a year , when a guy that was a friend of another cousin of mine came by for some part's for a garden tractor ; when he saw the bike covered half on and half off with an old canvas tarp it was hard to keep it covered when any of my brother's or sister's kid's came over they alway's wanted to seat on it ! He ask me what kind of bike it was and who owned it , and when i told him it was a Yamaha i told him the story and how i had $350.00 in it not counting my labor and time lost running back and forth over the thing ! I let him look it over and he told me if i would hold onto it untill he got his federal income tax refund check he would be back and buy it , i didn't think he would come back but i told him it wouldn't be going anywhere unless someone came by who would pay the $350.00 i had in it ; a few week's later he came back with one of my other cousin's and payed me $350.00 for it ! He told me he had a new engine on a Bike that was like new , that he wreaked bending the frame so bad it couldn't be repair'ed and how much he loved the one he wreaked ; they looked it over and told me it was the same year make and model No. of his old bike ! And that he was sure glad i had kept it covered up , because his seat was ragged out and a few other thing's on his old bike were shot as well ; he told me i wound't know it the next tiime i saw it ! And i would be surprized when i saw it the next time i came down to where me and my cousin's ride , and sure enough a few month's later me and my cousin on my mom and Dad's side of the family were riding down a creek that came out at my uncle's on my Mom's side of the family ; my cousin mike and his friend saw me and my cousin Darmon when we came out of the trail next to the railroad track's and cross the railroad track's to go to uncle Bud's house ! After we had been at Bud's they came over to the house ( this cousin was my uncle's son in law ) and the guy with him was riding what looked like a brand new Yamaha 250r SE Enduro Dirtbike , and mike was on Big Bear 4x4 ; i thought the guy with my cousin looked llike someone i had seen before but i couldn't place the face with a name ! And untill cousin mike said do you remember this guy? ; i still came up with a blank and said he looked like someone i had seen before but couldn't remember the name ! Mike said come outside and look at what he;s riding then try to remember who he is , so we go outside and i get in my wheel chair and roll over and take a good look at the Yamaha ; and i tell them it look's like the old one i had bought from his brother in law bruce but the one i had didn;t look anywhere as good as this one did ! Mike said this is Jimmy the friend who bought the Yamaha 250r SE Enduro from you about 6 month's ago , I told him i thought this bike was a new one , and jimmy said he stripped down the bike i sold him and cleaned and sanded down the frame and repainted everthing and put on new fenders, handle bar's , new hand grip's cable's and brakes and brake & clutch levers the work's ; and the engine and all the good part's that where on the old frame from his wreaked Yamaha 250r SE Enduro Bike ! All i could say was WOW how much for making my old 86' Honda TRX 350 Foreman to look that good , he looked at my old muddy Honda and shook his head and said it took him 4 month's and every spare minute he had to get the Yamaha looking like it did ; i told him i was only kidding and that under all that mud was an allmost as good looking quad as his Yamaha ! I did ask him if he had done anything to the engine that was on the bike i sold him , he said the top end was shot but the bottom crankcase was still in good condition ; and he was keeping it for a spare just in case he ever needed something for his baby ! It seem's that those 2 old bike's were a Special Edition that was no longer made and very hard to find original part's for them , that was what " Kirk's Racing " had told me when i took it over for her to look at it ; she told me then that i could've gotten a new bike for what it would've cost to repair the one i had ! I hope you can get your warrior going i have only seen one that my cousin Robert bought new in the summer of 86' and it was a nice quad and he had bought his wife a 86' Suzuki 230 QuadSport and he had a friend's 86' Honda TRX 350 Foreman Full Time 4x4 with a winch mounted on the front he told Robert if i came down and wanted to go riding i could ride the Foreman anytime i wanted to because he was a good friend of mine also and he knew i had lot my leg;s 1975 in a automobile accident and he had a hand control shift lever on it so i would be able to ride it when i came down ! It was in the winter of 86' that i went to Robert's trailor he had setup on the lot next to his brother Kenny's house ! Kenny had a bad liver and was in bad shape at the time , and he was letting Robert and his wife use the lot next to his house rent free for helping him out and keeping everything up ! That was first time i'd ever riden a 4 wheeler and i was hooked on it from that day on , but it was three year's later before i was able to buy my own ; funny thing the first ATV i bought was a 86' Honda TRX 350 Foreman 4x4 with a witch mounted in the same place as the one i had ridden in 86' looked just like they were twin's ! Sorry for the long reply , and i do hope you get your warrior going and it doen't cost you an arm or a leg ; and be safe when you get it going you can alway's get a new quad but it's not as easy to get another you ! .....................
