Does the 660 use the atomotive spin on type oil filters? My ATV also uses them and I just buy any automotive oil filter that fits, fram, napa,MaterCraft(Canadian Tire) what ever is on sale. Its just a oil filter they all do the same job.

Then just bing in your old oil filter to any store,as long as the center threaded hole and rubber ring are the same diameter it will work, even if the filter is longer it does not matter unless it hits your knee.

I have been using the Fram filter for about a year now and have had no problems. Just cross reference the filter to the Frame line. Now, I only use that filter for light trial rides. When I plan on doing some hard desert riding I replace with the OEM Yamaha filter, just in case. I have heard stories of some filter brands failing under the pressure were the filter element would collapse. But for light trail rides you will be fine.

I went to the yamaha dealer to pick up some oil and a filter, and they gave me the fram instead of the yamaha one...didnt really matter to me, but I was surprised they werent pushing the more expensive yami one.
