I htink that the cannodale has the right idea with the EFI but, the dam thing is the most ugly quad (sport or hi-perfoemance) i have ever seen. I was impressed by the high tech motor and fuel system and the light weight, but appalled by the price and the looks, not to mention the price!! I hve owned a mod. warrior and now a Raptor, love both of them. This reminds me alot of the 60s car reviews and what the claimed as stock going head to head with the compitetion. It is all up to who wants which machine to look better. more than likely cannondale reps brought a mod fx400 and raced to say they were faster and better. Really can not wait to kill one on the trails!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think that everyone should stop ripping on it and talking crap about it, especially when not one of us has ever ridden one. it may just surprise us all.

Ok, try this one on for size ye lovers of the Cannondale. Do you REALLY want to be the owner of the first fuel injected quad ever?Do you have any idea how much it will cost to have the fuel injection callibrated if you choose to modify this quad. Call me crazy but i dont want to be some companys guinea pig. I have a 00 Kawasaki ZX 12 with fuel injection, after i put a slip on exhaust system on it the computer went ape-****, i had to buy a $300 e-prom just to get it running right

first race for the motocross bike, and it failed to finish... mmm not a good start. plastic parts in a 4000 dollar engine??? maybe in a blaster but not on a so called top of the line oem performance quad!

I did like the first version of the C-dale that was at the Indy show more than the newest one. I think everyone is quick to put down the FX because maybe...just maybe....it could be quicker than the Raptor. I like the Raptor, I almost bought one when they came out back in September, but I decided to wait until I had some more alternatives (plus the vultures dressed as salesmen wanted waaaaayyyyyy too much for a Raptor.

Judging from the dimensions and specs, it's got about the same hp as a 660, but weighs less. Common sense tells me that less weight + greater than or equal HP = a faster machine.
Also, I wouldn't worry about an aluminum frame. It's not like this stuff is tin foil wrapped into squares. How many drag racers (talkin' cars here) use aluminum and have no problems. I'm also not too concerned with the EFI. I've been working with EFI for the past five years with my car and once you understand it, it's not that bad. It just depends on how sensitive the sensors are in the system.

As for waiting for aftermarket parts for this thing...I'm not so sure there's gonna be a huge selection anyway. A letter I received from Cannondale said that they are using FMF for the exhaust and Ohlins shocks. The plastic is also going to be "larger in the rear and more
shapely over-all".

I'm pretty anxious about the FX's arrival. The more competition there is in the market, the better for all of us in the long run.
