also is it hard to get to the sparkplug, and oil filter on it?

 

I haven't had to change a spark plug yet. Both of our Grizzly 700s had the 20 hour service done by the dealership, and the dealership put a new plug in them at that time, and also checked the valves. The valves on both Grizzlys were fine, and did not need adjusted. My wife's Grizzly is now about 14 months old, has 74 hours on the engine clock, and 780 miles on the odometer, and is still on its second spark plug. My Grizzly is now 2 months old, has 46 hours on the engine clock, and 760 miles on the odometer, and is still on its second spark plug.

The oil filters are super easy to get to. They are on the front lower part of the engine. I use a socket wrench style filter wrench, and just reach in from behind the left front tire. If you put about three socket extensions on the filter wrench you can reach it with a ratchet to loosen it. Then just put the new filter in the filter wrench and thread it back on by turning the end of the socket extensions, and then tighten it up with the rachet. It takes about two minutes to change filters. The only problem is that the filter is mounted horizontally on the engine, so when you take it off it drains on top of the skid plate and makes a mess.

I just did the math ... my wife's Grizzly has had an average speed of 10.5 mph. My Grizzlys average speed has been 16.5 mph. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
