Well I dropped off the sleeve and piston at Yamaha today, they said on Tuesday they would know wheather or not they could do the resleeve there or would have to send it off to do it, which means waiting to find out who's schedule I need to work around, so It will probably be yet another week before I am able to even get started on the damn thing. I inspected the whole kit and everything looks great though, The camshaft is actually the same camshaft that FST uses in the 350 wolverine/warrior 446 big bore/stroker, so there shouldnt be any problems because there is already a lot of the cams out there.

I prefer to go here and look up parts, http://www.yamaha-motor.com/outdoor/parts/home.aspx Since the 2008 rhinos are not listed yet I looked up a 07 450 rhino and it is the same head as the wolverine, grizzly, and kodiak.

I actually use the same link yota And that like has great info on it. I have referenced it many times for different quads, and it has helped a lot.

Cool- sounds like yer makin' some good progress. So this kit is basically hogging out the cylinder? That sounds really good................

Hey Chris I'm really interested in your latest project. Sounds like a few of us are going to profit from your experience. I'd like to get the total parts and labor breakdown when you're done. Good luck!

sure no problem on any advice I can help with.
So far I have 711 dollars invested in the parts from FST which I will get 80 back when I send my cam core back to him. I have 35.00 in coolant, and about 15.00 in oil and filter.
I have another 20.00 in gaskets that I dont think I will need, and the required jet that I need to rejet is already in the dynojet kit that I have here at the house.

I put down 200.00 for labor already, I think I will probably use close to that between having the head ported and polished, cam and valve springs swapped, cylinder sleeve replaced and bored to right size, and the cases machined to fit the new overbored cylinder sleeve. As soon as I get word that they are done with the sleeve and head I have to haul my wolvy back to the shop to have the cases modified to fit the sleeve(I would imagine I should hear from them on Tuesday, and hopefully by Friday they will be done, I hate to have to load the quad by myself with no motor to help me ,
Oh well I will just have to get over it)

How are they going to machine the case's without getting metal shavings into the engine assembly?

On the wolvy you can only bore the factory sleeve out I think to 86.5 = 441cc (84.5 = 421cc to start with). The FST takes it all the way to an 89 = 488cc with the new sleeve and boring on it.

I did not opt to have my crankshaft stroked to gain the additional 12cc because it would take about 5-6 weeks and I dont want to go that long without riding the wolvy.
