I dont know about the old 350's doing 60 stock...I find that hard to believe. I have a 350 bruin and it wont even hit 50....so I cant immagine the older 350 wolvy donig 60 stock. The new wolverine 450 is limited at 52 from the factory, with the clutch work you can hit 60+....a 20% increase for under $200 seems awesome to me.

350 Wolverine Top speed posts
This is only one search result but if you use the search feature on this site and the date features to make sure you get no 450 Wolverine results. Type "Wolverine top"
I got alot of results and most all say the old 350 would do 55-60.
I had a old Dirtwheels magazine from 2002 that had a 350 Rancher vs a 350 wolverine and the Wolverine was quite abit faster they stated and a Rancher will hit over 50mph if I remember right.

I still have a hard time believing posts like that....I see people still posting that the wolverine 450 does 60+ stock, along with the 80mph yfz's and raptors..
I cant say for sure though, I have never lined up against one. My buddy bought one new in 03, and I dont remember it doing 60mph...but it may have for all I know.
My mom has an 01 rancher 350 2wd and it does 48 on a flat road, I hit 52 on it at the dunes heading down a big hill, but it wont go near that on a road or trail. My bruin is just about dead nuts with the rancher from start to finish.... I dont know if the old wolverine 350 and the bruin 350 share the same motors or not, but I cant see Yamaha stepping the power down in the later years.
I asked about the 350 4x4 vs the 450 4x4 a while back, but still no solid proof.

Im actually thinking about sending the clutch out of my bruin out to Hauck next, that thing needs all the help it can get. Now that my wolverine is done, its time to either trade in the bruin on a grizzly, or start modding it to keep me happy. It definitely needs some better tires, a clutch kit, and possibly the hauck clutch mod.
