That's great new's joker and it's all due to ctateusa1's advice , so all the thanks goes to ctateusa1 he's an old pro and one to not let it go to his head ; because he couldn't get his Firemans Helmet on if he did that !

He's a good one for sure even if i have to say it for him myself , what i think he would reccomend would be to find that vent line and reroute it up higher , or at least i think he would but in anycase ; his advice got you going again and that all that matter's that's what he's here for to help people in need ! .............

thats right williebee, and let me tell you you gotta have that helmet on otherwise the ashes and hot embers really burn up your hair.

I rerouted my carb vent line up to the top of the airbox, because yamaha did not put a oneway vent on the carb tube.

If you ever have any other problems dont hesitate to ask, if I cant help there are plenty of others on here who can help.

I will post another pic for you joker on where I reran the carb vent tube up too.

As far as getting water in the belt cover, it is pretty well sealed up unless you hit water fast or go more than about 15 inches deep, but if you keep a steady throttle and push a wake you can push water up to the headlights without too much trouble on the wolvy. any deeper or if you back into a water hole(and dont get shifted back into drive(dont ask how I know)) and you will stall the wolvy and it will get water into carb and belt drive.

check in the clutch housing, drain it see if any water comes out.
Also there have been some people who have actually had to take their carb apart and pull the jets out to get some debris or dirt out of them which caused the poor running.

What part of the us are you from?

Kinda sounds like my neighbor and his Susuki, rides it in mudholes up to the handlebars and wonders why it doesnt run right. I havent been in any high water and deep mud and dont plan to, but Iam alittle disconcerned with hearing about water in the carbs and belt housing and the machine wont move.
