wolverine 450

Default wolverine 450

hay everyone i have an 07 wolverine 450 and i went riding with it it ran fine but after i gto to where we ride i turned it off and when i turneded it back on it would idle but when i put it into f it would go like 2 mph and shut off wats up with it???

were you in water or anything? Could you provide a little more info?

umm ok well i had to cross about a foot of water and i got out and i turned it off on dry land and once i turned it bak on it was idling ok but when i put it in to f or r would give it some gas and it woud jurk a little nd then just die as if there was no gas but the tank was full and the gas was on and if it was in n it would idle ok but die when i gave it more the 1/4th throtle

ok first off I would try to drain the carb, it sounds like you might have the wolverine, carb vent tube issue, If there is water in the carb when you drain it, then see if you have better throttle response afterwards.

My friend has an 06 wolverine 450and had the same problem. If I remember correctly the problem was water getting into the transmission belt. there is a plug on the side of the 4 wheeler that pulls out and drains the water out. He had that problem very often whenever we would ride through water and would have to stop to drain it. Since then he put some type of caulk or something around the case and I dont think he has had the problem since.

There is a little screw on the side of the carb I will post a pic later today for you.
