Default Extended Wheel Hubs

I have seen a few guys with extended wheel hubs at some of the out door events we go to. How do they perform and who sells them? I have a banshee I am working on turning it in to a motocross machine. Would extended hubs be a good idea?

they call them wheel spacers. there is the block stile and the stud style, definatly get the block stile, I know highlifter sells them i dont know if its the most competitive price. I got my 1.5" billet ones on ebay a few years back. gives my wolverine a 3" wider stance which is night and day in handling especially with the 25" tires.

I thought the non-block style are better/cheaper?

I am familiar with wheel spacers. But on occasion I have actually seen the hubs that are extended. Instead of being flat they kind of have a cup shape.. Not sure if I am making since but I cant find much info about these.

gotcha, havent seen those. Usually if people dont want spacers (on 2x4 atvs) they go with a durablue + axel and longer A-arms

That would be the best way to go but I have a limited budget I am working with. A new axel is like $300 or so. Right now I would rather go with some new pipes for that kind of money. I tried the wheel spacers that just extend studs, they are crap!! Do you think I could get away with a block style spacing in the back of about 3 inches per side.

RMATV's G-force axle is 200 bucks.

They also sell G-force extended hubs. IMO a better choice than spacers for durability and quality, though obviously less desirable than an extended axle.

Why are there wheels that have offsets increased to do the same as the wheel spacers. It seems like 1 1/2 offset would be alright and you would get another set of wheels for not much more than the darn expensive billet spacers I have seen for sale.
