what to do about Raptor 660
A 660 is not the best trail bike, but they do very well. They are a little on the tall side for sliding thru fast turns, so you have to lean a little more than on some other bikes. They are just as reliable as any other Yamaha out there, and if taken care of properly, you shouldn't have any problems out of anything more than the usual parts that wear out (brakes, tires, sprockets, clutches, etc.). I used to have an '03 660 and had a blast on the trails with it and never had any major problems with it.

what to do about Raptor 660
I think Raptors are great trail bikes...I ride trails more then anything, the only problem I had is i got stuck in alot of mudd so then I put it in reverse and got unstuck but killed it so then my push start button was caked with mudd and wouldn't work : )
but ya.... I weigh 160 pounds and everyone says i'm too small to ride it but my raptor clims hills like a beast and just screams through the trails...mudd or no mudd...and my 01 lasted till 06 and thats when I got all my racing parts.

Yup. Mine laste from Sep 2000 until Jan 2007. Only major work I did was changing out the clutch plates when it wore out. Then this year I put in the 686 kit, hotcam, tranny upgrade and new one-way...
