'04 wolverine 350 poor spark/won't start
Yep, still the '04 Wolverine. Won't start. Took apart carb AGAIN...it's still good.
dang! these electrical things are SO HARD to trouble shoot. I have a manual and I'm trying to check my coil, but I'm not sure I even understand how to read my meter!
anyways, when I remove plug and ground it against the block (while still hooked up to the plug wire), it has a weak, yellow-orange spark. When I hold it away, ungrounded, 2-3" from the block, it's got a great blue spark like a lightning bolt. Does that tell anyone anything?
My secondary coil resistance is good (7.74 ohms). I'm not sure I'm checking the primary coil resistance properly, because the only number I can make appear on my meter is .003, using several different resistance settings. It says to check with tester set at Ohm symbol X 1. Not sure if I'm using the same setting on my meter.
any electrical trouble-shooting gurus out there?
