If it's not too bad, you can probably pull the side cover off and JB weld it.

i don't know if i would trust just jb welding it, but thats just my opinoin. i'm pretty sure you can just buy a case and put your internals in it. that sucks though..

yhea you can buy a side of the case im sure, but if it is not in a real critical spot see if you can get someone to aluminum weld it

Default Hole in Yfz case??

Dude this same thing happened to my buddy a week ago on his yfz 426 and he just JB welded it really good. So far it has worked really well. No leaks or weak spots that have shown yet. Maybe you should try it before forking out $$$$$. Obviously you would want to eventually replace the case but if you want to use it now JB weld is the way to go. Two things that will help with it is Scuff up the area a little to help the JB weld stick better and make sure the surface is really clean. Make sure you replace the Sprockets and chain too, but you probably allready knew that. good luck!

Default Hole in Yfz case??

I had a 750 Yamaha Seca Motorcycle and it had a nickle size hole in the side of the crank case and JB weld held on for years until I sold it. I just applied it from the out side and did not take anything apart.

Default Hole in Yfz case??

My Warrior has a hole in the crankcase, but we just jb welded it, and if i replaced it then i would have to take the whole head off and try not to lose any gears that might fall out. lol

if it knocked chunks inside you will want to take it apart anyway
