Default Grizzly front driveshaft problem

I recently had to replace a ripped front CV boot on my 70 Grizzly 700, dismantling and removing the drive shaft was straight forward enough, as I have replaced several CV bots on Big bear's and Kodiak's before. When I installed the drive shaft back into the Differential I used a new snap ring on the end of the spline and it seemed to go back in and click in to place ok, but if I hold the inner CV joint and rock it I can feel and see some movement where it goes into the differential, it all seems ok when riding the grizzly and no oil leaks from the seal, the spline on the left inboard side goes into the limited slip diff assembly is it supposed to be like this? Has anyone experienced this after fitting the drive shaft back into the Diff before?

Assuming you are talking about your axles (rather than drive shaft), it sounds like it's fine. It went in, the snap ring holds it in (not necessarily "locked in") and you have a bit of play in the CV joint itself from riding without a properly sealed boot?
