Default blaster problem again!!!!!

04 blaster-Sorry to bother you guys but i currently went to my local yamaha dealer to see what the problem was and they told me that from what it sounds like is that either i blew my piston and the rings were fried in the top end because something is bouncing around in my motor. They also said that it could be my bottom end and that i snapped my connecting rod. But they told me that they are still not sure because they need to take the top end off and look at bottom end to see what the problem is so if anyone that could help and knows the problem i would appreciate the help. Thanks once again!!!!!

If it runs there is no chance you snapped the rod. However I have seen the crank bearing give out and cause that very similar problem. The guys at the dealer are right it will probaly need to be torn down. Did you have it rebuilt? The only reason I ask is because I have had problems with wiseco pistons being manufactured to small therefore producing piston slap resulting in broken rings and egg shaped cylinders. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Either way you're going to have to take the engine apart to find out what it is. It is just what everyone else said - either the piston and rings are bad or the crank bearing is bad or both. Usually if the crank bearing goes bad the piston and rings get torn up with it, so plan on at least rebuilding the top end with new piston, rings, and a bore and pray that the crank is OK cause then you will be spending bigger bucks.

Yea man i have a blaster ive blown it twice and if the piston is blown at all its not gonna even start it much be something else i dont think its the rod but you are gonna have to have it torn apart to see. You can tear the top off and look and see if there is a hole in the piston but thats about it.
